DSC_0098Shop for handcrafted gifts and foods to help your Christmas be one to remember. Farmers Market of the Ozarks (FMO) will host a Special Holiday Market on Tuesday, Dec 23, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the FMO pavilion at Farmers Park. FMO is the only year-round market housed in a permanent heated pavilion at the Farmers Park Development, off Republic Road.

“Spend your dollars local this season and support your local bakers, farmers, crafters and other producers by purchasing local goods,“ said FMO Executive Director Lane McConnell. “Freshly harvested herbs, beef, chicken, pork, eggs, fresh baked pies from KatieMade, potatoes, tomatoes, hydroponic salad greens, winter squash, jam and jellies, onions, radishes, beets, bread, marshmallows, and artisan gifts are just a few of the items that will be available at the Holiday Market on Dec 23rd.”

Vendors at the market have been busy preparing unique items for this holiday. Like the Baked Feta Dip from Terrell Creek Farm, the Askinosie Chocolate Pies from KatieMade, delicious hams from Wild Bunch Farm and even the freshly picked vegetables from gardens in the Ozarks- everything you need to make a special holiday dinner will be available at the pavilion.

Customers are encouraged to stop in at the Market Hub for use of the market’s wireless card reader that accepts credit, debit or EBT (SNAP) cards, giving everyone access to high-quality local foods in the Ozarks. Or pick-up an FMO inspired gift at the Market Hub.

“We have great stocking stuffers like FMO gift cards for your foodie friends and family and locally made long-sleeve shirts and sweatshirts,” said McConnell. “All proceeds go directly back to the market, which is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.”
